NATIONAL ALBUM DAY 2024
LP LIMITED EDITION YELLOW VINYL
The Waterboys were formed in London in 1981 and led by the singer/
songwriter Mike Scott, the groups only constant member - with the
supporting musicians ever changing around him
1988s Fishermans Blues is the Waterboyss 4th album, for whichthe band were
joined by traditional Irish players over a 3 year period, recording a mix of Irish trad,
country, Soul and Rock, resulting in a stripped- down, folky sound which was a
marked step away from the "big music" he founded and pursued in previous
albums.
It has been called their warmest and most rewarding record.
The album has cut at half-speed by Barry Grint at AIR Studios, London.
Format: Limited Edition 1LP 180gm Yellow Vinyl, poly inners, insert and OBI.
Tracks: Fishermans Blues / We Will Not Be Lovers / Strange Boat / World Party /
